Legal framework of ICT in Secondary Education

Technology is more and more part of everybody's life and part of the education system too. Out of the seven competences established by the Government for Secondary Education and Bachillerato, digital competence is one of them.

According to the legal framework, the use of ICT will be promoted and teachers will receive a training program on digitalization. In addition, the use of ICT will be encouraged by schools or high-schools too as a didactic tool.

However, using ICT implies a certain degree of risks related mainly to online violence, which will be controlled by educational administrations.

All in all, the use of ICT in education is crucial for students to develop not only digital competence but also to learn how to work cooperatively and motivate them.
